Panel: How to Get the Most Out of RWA National

San Francisco Area Romance Writers of America

Berkeley, CA

June 8, 2013

Find out more about the RWA Annual Conference happening this year in Atlanta, GA July17-20. A panel of three speakers, all members of SFA RWA, will answer your questions on how to get the most out of the experience if:

  • you are (or want to be) traditionally published,
  • you want to know more about the self-publishing track (new this year and headed by our own Barbara Freethy),
  • you are a newbie.

The Traditional Publishing Track: Kristin Miller
Her first novel was published in 2011, and since then she has had seven other novels published (mostly paranormal romances). She is the author of the dark and gritty Vampires of Crimson Bay series and the short-but-steamy Isle of Feralon novellas. Kristin was SFA RWA Chapter President 2011-2012.

The Self-Publishing Track: Tina Folsom
International bestselling author Tina Folsom wrote her first romance in 2008 and never looked back. She’s always loved vampires and decided that vampire and paranormal romance was her calling. She now has 17 novels in English and several in other languages (Spanish, German, and French) and continues to write, as well as have her existing novels translated.

Newbie Dos & Don’ts: Ariella Moon
Ariella Moon, aka Karen Morison-Knox, writes about magic, friendship, and love in her debut teen romance, Spell Check, and its June 2013 sequel, Spell Struck, both from Astraea Press. Ariella lives a nearly normal life with her extraordinary daughter, shamelessly spoiled dog, and an enormous dragon. She has attended many RWA Annual Conferences and helped numerous writers navigate their first time at National.
